titles template

This is clip is an example of a titles template, This means that you actually use a template which is created in the program panel and you set is in the lower 1/3's which is at the bottom of the screen. You might happen to use this type of title when you want to use a unique creative title that you cannot create on your own alone. It is to fit the own (oneself) preferences of editors. it can also be used if you want it generic or fancy.

Titles-overlay

This is an example of an overlay title, This means that the title happens overlay on the video/clip itself. It is set in the lower 1/3's. You might happen to use this type of titles when you need to label the subject's name, place, idea... it is at the bottom right corner.

Titles-full screen

This is an example of a title in which is full screen. This means that the title is in full screen you edit it yourself and it takes the entire screen. It does use a solid background but (its not a video).  You can use this type of title when you are using it in a video or clip for an introduction or at the end of the credits in a video or even when you start a video at the beginning.

lifting/ extracting

A simple cut in the timeline which is to delete a clip from the timeline in priemier pro. When you cut out the other clips in the timeline stay where they are.
A ripple edit means you delete a clip but the clips that remain they shift together. You do this by using the right click on the mouse and by clicking the clip and  you choose ripple edit. When you do a ripple edit, the other clips to the right of the deleted clip, shift to the left.
Lifting and extracting are two ways to cut out a clip at one time. To do this, you right click the clip and choose which one you wznt to do.
Lifting is like taking it away, while extracting is like replacing it, in terms of what happens to the other clips in the timeline.
This is an example of a ripple edit. I decided to ripple edit the two clips where I did because it made it appear to have continous jumping.

This is an example of an Overlay edit. An Overlay edit places the clip in between 2 clips and plays through the video. To do this you drag the clip in the timeline of priemier pro between the 2 clips. The time of the video does not change it just changes/ replaces the clip. I decided to insert the second clip where i did because it had a good entry to the next clips and it made it look really good.
This is an example of an insert edit. An insert edit places the clip in between 2 clips in the timeline. To do this you hold down the Ctrl button and drag the clip between the 2 clips. The time of the video changes because it does not get replaced it actually just lays right next to the other clips. I decided to insert the second clip where i did because it had a good entry to the next clips and it made it look really good. The difference between overlay and insert edit is when you overlay a clip you just drag the clip in the middle between clips and when you insert a clip you drag and press Ctrl in between the clips and when you play it it will keep playing the clip, as the overlay will play alll the way through. I honestly think the insert edit works better because its more clean and easy.
