Green Screen Workshop

A green screen video works by filming with a green screen in the background and use that as the setting at first. Then you edit it, apparently the color green is a easy color to get rid of out of the background. Then you take the green out and you can you can put a background taht you choose as the new background. An important consideration when filming with a green screen is to make sure there are no shadows at all because then the green is really difficult to rid of. A problem when tying to eliminate the green is that if there are shadows, the green is darker in the shadow and it is harder to get rid of. After affects was easier because you just click on the green and the green was gone.

5 Things About Other Video

The 5 things about other videos i learned is block 2 on ryan, taylor p. and sabrena video first, i think it is useful to have a cyberbullying definition right away from a student because it shows a view to a teenager, second, you can edit the clip in a way to speed it up to go faster which shows the number of students there were and how cyberbullying can happen, Third, To show the perspective from an adult to have a counselor  and a teacher to be interviewed to get a real specific meaning and the dangers. Fourth, Have the number of people being cyberbullied to show how many teens have been cyberbullied. Fifth, change of the setting to get the audience attention and to attract people into watching the video.

5 Things about this other video that i learned: This group did terrific at creating scenes that were dramatic to help show the main points of the video. It really gave a different aspect on the topic. I really want to do this in some way for my next video project. Another thing I realized that would be a great idea to include students warning the audience of the consequences of cyberbullying. And, it was great that the group only used seniors to speak about the Cyberbullying because they are the oldest students on campus here at sbhs and they make the Great influence on the other students and shows the mattureness of the video because they are older and know a lot more and helps get the point accross to the youngest student all the way up to the oldest students.

cyberbullying reflection

The thing i am most satisfied and proud of with my video is the order of my clips and the ending of my group and i talking at the same time. The commments that were most helpful to me for fixing my video was the volume level and spelling errors because it helped me see where i needed to fix my video to make it sound and look better. The changes that i actually made on my final video was the volume level on certain places in the video and the spelling errors such as spelling counsler we corrected it and made it "counselor" and i fixed the bubble and took it out because it didnt look good and just left the fact without the bubble. The changes i would make if i had another day or two is i wouldnt because our video is as good as it can get for my video. If i had a chance to do this project all over again, i would do differently is get more interviews and get more information/facts on cyberbullying. The realizations, discoveries and understandings i reached about creating my video is it is not easy and it takes alot of critical thing and there are many ways to edit the videos. The other thoughts i have on my own project is if there is anything i need to change that my group and i didnt see? and if we did a good job :)

titles template

This is clip is an example of a titles template, This means that you actually use a template which is created in the program panel and you set is in the lower 1/3's which is at the bottom of the screen. You might happen to use this type of title when you want to use a unique creative title that you cannot create on your own alone. It is to fit the own (oneself) preferences of editors. it can also be used if you want it generic or fancy.

Titles-overlay

This is an example of an overlay title, This means that the title happens overlay on the video/clip itself. It is set in the lower 1/3's. You might happen to use this type of titles when you need to label the subject's name, place, idea... it is at the bottom right corner.

Titles-full screen

This is an example of a title in which is full screen. This means that the title is in full screen you edit it yourself and it takes the entire screen. It does use a solid background but (its not a video).  You can use this type of title when you are using it in a video or clip for an introduction or at the end of the credits in a video or even when you start a video at the beginning.

lifting/ extracting

A simple cut in the timeline which is to delete a clip from the timeline in priemier pro. When you cut out the other clips in the timeline stay where they are.
A ripple edit means you delete a clip but the clips that remain they shift together. You do this by using the right click on the mouse and by clicking the clip and  you choose ripple edit. When you do a ripple edit, the other clips to the right of the deleted clip, shift to the left.
Lifting and extracting are two ways to cut out a clip at one time. To do this, you right click the clip and choose which one you wznt to do.
Lifting is like taking it away, while extracting is like replacing it, in terms of what happens to the other clips in the timeline.
This is an example of a ripple edit. I decided to ripple edit the two clips where I did because it made it appear to have continous jumping.

This is an example of an Overlay edit. An Overlay edit places the clip in between 2 clips and plays through the video. To do this you drag the clip in the timeline of priemier pro between the 2 clips. The time of the video does not change it just changes/ replaces the clip. I decided to insert the second clip where i did because it had a good entry to the next clips and it made it look really good.
This is an example of an insert edit. An insert edit places the clip in between 2 clips in the timeline. To do this you hold down the Ctrl button and drag the clip between the 2 clips. The time of the video changes because it does not get replaced it actually just lays right next to the other clips. I decided to insert the second clip where i did because it had a good entry to the next clips and it made it look really good. The difference between overlay and insert edit is when you overlay a clip you just drag the clip in the middle between clips and when you insert a clip you drag and press Ctrl in between the clips and when you play it it will keep playing the clip, as the overlay will play alll the way through. I honestly think the insert edit works better because its more clean and easy.

Project 1 baler interview

This is Michaela's project 1 interview as I was knew to the class so I was unable to make an interview video ;( In my opinion i believe she did a very good job. She sends a good message on why she likes to be a baler. But i do believe she needs to be a bit more enthusiastic.

Baler Interviews Fuss_Keezer

I believe that I am getting better at editing videos and using the time line. I believe that I did a good job helping my partner with embedding the video and helping him with his reflection. I am happy with how hard we worked. I think that the video came out very good. If I could do the project over again, I would make the video a little bit longer. But, overall I think that Skyler and I did a very good job on editing these clips. On my next project I need to remember to go and make the titles longer. One way my  partner helped me was to go and help me edit the videos so that all of the people ended with a good face. I helped my partner  by telling him how to set up the video format. On this project I gained a better idea about how to edit my projects, and how much time is needed to go and make good videos. One challenge we faced was how many people we had to see in their different videos. There were a lot of different people with different personalities, so we tryed to put a lot of different people that had different personalities into our video. One of the most important pieces to the puzzle was to find people that had a good message with a positive attitude. :)

Wet Cement

The message of this video Wet Cement is the charecter very much has patience and has ability to control his self. The actions that communicate this message the video gives is the cement layers expression when the main charecter sees the young boy walking in wet cement. His face has many reactions which is it goes from suprised look all the way to anger level and then to nice and kind in less than a milli second. the level of the light in this video makes this video to understand the reaction in his face. The amount of brightness/lighting made this very clear to the young boy.
